I already managed it with a boot flag for Windows. This allows me to use two mice and two keyboard for two users at the same time. With OSX i noticed, if you do not install the parallels tool it also works for the guest OSX without any problem. The problem is, i need the screen scaling function from the parallels tools. The interesting thing is, with parallels tools the mouse is also working, but the cursor is invisible. How can i make the cursor visible?
Hi vinc6, please follow the steps mentioned below to fix mouse cursor invisible issue in Windows virtual machine: 1.Shut Down virtual machine. 2.Open Virtual Machine configuration 3.Go to Hardware > Boot Order > and paste in Boot Flags box: video.hw_pointer=0 In Windows guests there still will be situations where cursor becomes invisible. Also there may be occasional screen flickering. In summary, the above solution will work fine when using virtual machine for simple tasks such as document processing, but heavier use (like games or 3D software) may make system unstable.
Hello Paul, this solution i know already. I am asking for a guest OSX not for Windows. Can you investigate a solution for this? Its a real pity to have a powerfull Mac and being unable to host a independent Guest OSX. This should be a main feature of Parallels.
Hello vinc6, Could you once try reinstalling the Parallels Tools(Actions->Reinstall Parallels tools). Also under 'Mouse&Keyboard' of the configuration, change the SmartMouse option to 'Do not optimize for games' and change the 'Enable smooth scrolling' option. Try this and let us know if there are any changes. If there are no changes generate and post the problem report id here and we will look into the issue further. Note : You could also try assigning additional resources for your VM- Memory(RAM) and Video memory.
