I was testing out Fusion 8 recently, but it didn't work for me due to the way it handled shared partitions. My hard disk is partitioned as a dual boot system like so: 100GB Windows 10 100GB OSX 250GB Data In Fusion, when I loaded up Windows 10, the Data partition would be unmounted - effectively resulting in me only being able to read/write to that drive from one OS at a time, which is completely useless. So I have some questions: Will I be able to use the Data drive from both OSes at the same time, without limitations like Fusion 8? Will I need to have any special configuration, or suffer any other limitations, to run my system as above? Will Parallels reuse my existing Windows partition / configuration? Many thanks, Dave
Hello DaveP2, Your existing boot camp Windows can be used with Parallels Desktop. Refer to this article to know more about setting up a boot camp based Virtual Machine. Let us know if you have any issues and we will look into it.
