Hi, I have a 2009 iMac running 10.10.5 and Parallels 10. I have Windows XP, WIndows 7 and WIndows 8.1 VMs.
I have purchased the Pararallels version 10 to version 11 upgrade, downloaded the files but have not done the upgrade just yet.
I have just purchased a new iMac which will have 10.11.x on it, as soon as it arrives I will be decommsisoning the old iMac and moving everything to the new one.
How should I proceed with the Parallels upgrade?
    These strategies come to mind:
    1. Decommision Parallels 10 on the old machine, install Parallels 11 on the new machine and activate?
    2. Upgrade Parallels from 10 to 11 on the old machine, decommision Parallels 11 on the old machine and reinstall Parallels 11 on the new machine
    3. Decommision Parallels 10 on the old machine, install Parallels 10 and then Parallels 11 on the new machine and activate each one?
    Thanks for any help.

I found the answer in KB116527 I could take any of these options, but I may just as well take option 1.
