Hi, Windows crashed - it hung on the blue screen of death. I can't exit Parallels (the windows vm). It's related to the usb problem I've had since Nov. of 2015. The attached pictures shows what I see when I visit the crashed windows vm. I think there's a way to exit out - but I forget what that was. David
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Has this happened to you before? I cannot quit the virtual machine. I can put the blue screen of death to sleep - but I cannot actually quit it. Until someone answers - or support finally gets around to me in a few days - this will run and run and run. on my machine.
The embedded screen capture might help clarify. In this screen capture one of the virtual machines (VM) has hung - with a blue screen of death (BSOD). Last February, while working with Parallels support they configured the VM so that the BSOD would not automatically go away. That was fine at the time because we wanted to have a chance to see the BSOD. I recall that it was quite easy to get out of the hung window - however, I do not remember how that is done. Does anyone know how to escape out of this?
Okay, this is how you escape the BSOD. At the top right corner (near the clock and WiFi icons) click the two vertical parallel bars then select Actions --> Reset
