    Hello there.
We recently upgraded our 2x RAS to Parallels RAS (v14 to v15).
Since the upgrade, the RAS Terminal Server Agent keeps crashing on our Win 2008 Server. The only way to get it running again is to end the service manually and start it again.

Is there a way to fix this issue? We have staff that works from home or on business trips that rely on a working RAS Agent.

Thanks in advance for the help!

    Hello.
Thanks for your reply. I followed the KB and the Agent seems to be running right now.
We´ll see if it is stable now!

I am here with an update.
Sadly, the Agent crashed again today. And it´s very hard to restart, since the Service always times out when I try to cancel or restart it.

    Hey,
    Thanks for your reply.
For such case I would recommend to reinstall RAS environment from clean state. To perform this procedure please follow the steps above (please be advised that this procedure should be performed during maintenance window only):
    1. Take a backup of your RAS Farm settings. Navigate to "Administration" menu - "Backup" tab - Export - Save backup file in any location you prefer.
    2. Uninstall Remote Application Server using Windows Programs and Features menu.
    3. Access registry (run "regedit" command) and clear the following entries (if any of that exist in registry):
    - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\2X
    - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Parallels
    - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Parallels
    - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\2X
    4. Download the latest version of Remote Application Server.
    5. Install Remote Application Server using downloaded package. Use "Parallels Remote Application Server" installation type if you want to install all components on this terminal server, or use "Custom" installation type if you would like to install only some definite components then rather all at once.
    6. Import backup file exported during step 1.

After performing this steps check the behavior for a couple of days and let us know how is it going.

    Have a nice day!
