I just downloaded the most recent Paralles update (update notification appeared yesterday, 2/25/16). I opened Windows and opened QuickBooks, then Parallels Tools Installation began and froze everything. I looked at Parallels support topics - first item on list of instructions is to cancel the Parallels Tools Wizard in Windows. But I cannot cancel it as the cursor freezes as soon as I click on anything in the Windows window. I am at work and stuck. Please help! Thank you.
Hi Virginia, please follow the steps to fix the issue. Shut Down virtual machine. Open Virtual Machine configuration Go to Hardware > Boot Order > and paste in Boot Flags box: video.hw_pointer=0
Hello Paul, I cannot shut down the virtual machine. I can only suspend it by quitting Windows in the Mac menu bar. I can't click on anything within the virutal machine window. If I do, the cursor stops working. When I quit Windows and try to make the VM configuration change you suggested, I get a message: "To be able to change the settings on this page, resume the virtual machine and then shut it down." Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you!
