So I just upgraded to 11 and all is well except for an annoying behavior that only started occurring after the upgrade. If I am working within Windows 7 in full screen and then step away long enough for my MAC screen lock to activate, when I unlock OS X, my Windows 7 guest is no longer in full screen. I have to click a button to go back to full screen, and then a second annoying thing happens: My extended displays (2 monitors) no longer automatically trigger in my Windows 7 guest. I have to tap F3 and then drag both of my Parallels Desktop desktops over to the corresponding monitor, and click them to focus. It doesn't remember that I assigned the desktops to secondary and tertiary monitors.

Prior to the upgrade, it behaved perfectly. I could be in Windows 7 at full screen on MAC display, with my extended displays active on my other monitors, step away, come back, unlock OS X, Windows 7 session restored exactly as I left it. Any ideas what could be happening?

I removed Tools, following the instructions. When I attempt to re-install tools (also following the instructions), it pops a window that says hit continue to connect the Parallel Tools installation CD to start the installation. Then, the installation never starts. I assumed that since there was also a message that said "If the installation does not start automatically, open up your CD/DVD drive in Windows and double-click "setup.exe" would launch the tools install. Sadly, the executable doesn't exist. Guess I'll try and figure out how to get the tools.

Hi SladeE, you may refer to this article to install Parallels Tools manually on Windows 7 virtual machine.

I re-installed the tools. Still doing same thing. Step away, return, unlock, Windows 7 is now running in window mode as opposed to how I left it in full screen. Further, the two Parallels desktops I had previously moved to my left and right monitors to use as extended displays in Windows have then moved to my primary Retina display on the MBP. I have to then manually: restore Windows to full screen, drag Parallels Desktops to my left and right monitors. Also, when switching Windows back to full screen, OS X toggles between several displays multiple times. Very annoying. Didn't have this issue prior to the upgrade.

Alright, well this seems to be going nowhere. Does Parallels support have any ideas? I'm considering just giving support a call, but based on what I'm seeing here in forums, that could ultimately lead to a waste of time. Here's a couple of screenshots, in case I haven't explained it well.

I've attached two screenshots. One showing how my Win7 guest goes in to a window mode, and secondly, what happens after I restore the Win7 guest to full screen--that is, both of the desktops that should be assigned to my secondary and tertiary panels are instead nested on to my macbook display.
