    Hi,
    I hope someone can help!
I have upgraded to El Capitan and everything is working on the Mac end but when I go to log into Parallels which is the Desktop 6 version for Windows 7 it comes up with a screen windows 7.pvm-bash 80x 20 and not allow me to log in or even check for updates.
I understand my version of Parallels is outdated but I was wondering which version I need to update it to, to work with Windows 7 and also if I do download it, will I lose all my applications/programs and documents currently in Windows 7?
Thanks so much for any help you can provide :)

    Hello Eileen,
Please update your Parallels to the latest version (Parallels Desktop 11) which is the only version optimized to run Mac OS X EL Capitan.
You can follow this article and get the Parallels Desktop 11 trial version and check how it works.
You will not loose any of your Windows files while this upgrade process. Let us know for any further assistance !
