I am using Parallels 11 on my IMac which has a Windows XP and Windows 7 VM. I checked my system and I have 64 bit Windows 7. I tried to upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10. After downloading and running the download tool for the 64 bit installation, Windows XP opens and I get an error that the 64-bit version is not the correct version. I do not want to upgrade Windows XP. How can I use the wizard to upgrade the Windows 7 VM?

I was referring to that article when trying to upgrade. I have no problem downloading the file. Once I run the downloaded file, Parallels opens and starts running the Windows XP VM. I do not want to upgrade the Windows XP VM. I want to upgrade the Windows 7 VM. How can I get the download tool to use the correct VM? In my list of Virtual machines, Windows XP is listed first, then Windows 7 is listed.

Hi Sandra, please copy the media creation tools that you have downloaded to the Windows 7 desktop and then try to execute. Hope this helps.
