On my Mac, Windows applications from VMs I have deleted long ago are reappearing in the Open With context menu in Finder.
    When I run
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
these apps disappear, but after some time, they suddenly reappear?
Where are the entries for these apps stored, and how can I get rid of this?

Hi ErichN, please follow the steps mentioned below to fix Windows application icon issue:
    1. Open Finder and go to your user's Application folder:
In the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
In the opening Go to the folder textbox type in:
    ~/Applications/
Your personal Applications folder will open up
    2. Locate your virtual machine's folder you would like to remove and move it to Trash.
Important: There will be two folders with the same name. Choose the one that does not contain the apps' icons.

There is nothing Parallels related left there!
    ~/Library/Parallels/Applications Groups and ~/Library/Parallels/Applications Menus
    also are empty!
