Hello, I just bought a new mac and I discovered that the floppy disk can read but can not write. I usually work before with another Mac via Parallels in Windows XP and i hadn't problems but when I buy the new one, and install the latest version of Parallels I've noticed that the floppy disk fails. I work with windows os with a design program that must pass the information to a 3 1/2 disk and from there to a weaving machine so the use of the floppy drive is necessary because the machine has no other input method . Can somebody help me?? Thanks a lot
Hello Jorge, By default Floppy Disk is disabled in Parallels Desktop 11. In order to add Floppy Drive manually kindly follow the steps below: -> Actions -> stop VM -> Open your Windows virtual machine's Configuration -> Hardware -> +( Add) -> Floppy Disk -> Choose Source -> Physical floppy drive For more information please refer to this article. Thanks.
It doesn't work... I work with an USB Floppy drive and I tried with a physical drive and with an image but it never works... Finally, I downgrade to Parallels 10 and everything works fine. Can I return that update? can I get my money back?
Hi Jorge, could you please try to re-produce the issue with Parallels Desktop 11 and provide us creating a Problem Report ID so that we can check it for you. Refer to this article.
