Trying to shutdown the desktop sharing tool between mac and VM

I want to turn of desktop sharing from my mac to my Parallels VM which is Win7 OS. In other words, to be clear, I do not want to see the items on my Mac desktop on my windows desktop when I open up the VM. I tried to follow the directions that I found on a parallels support page to locate configuration options, but everything is greyed out and I cannot make any changes to any options at all. I have unlocked the configuration panel by using my password, I have opened up the VM and then shut it down which it says to do on the configuration and I still cannot make any changes. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? Everything with Parallels has been great. The VM works awesome, however all of a sudden this desktop sharing tool became activated and the options to find a solution are not very intuitive. Please help if you know the answer. Thanks.

 

Hi Tim, please try re-installing Parallels Tools. And to locate virtual machine configure, refer to this article.
