I found that I have no wifi in Windows 10 after upgrading from Windows 7. This has been reported with a published fix, which did not work for me. I think because it applied to upgrades from Win 8.1. Has anyone else encountered this and solved it. My present plan is to remove the virtual machine and re-install Windows 7, test for wifi, and if present upgrade to Win 10, before installing any programs, then check for wifi again. If there is none, I'll just repeat and stop and Windows 7. Any better suggestions?

    Hi Terry,
not really clear what you mean in the post because Wi-Fi from VM was never supported. Parallels Desktop emulates ethernet connection in the VM. Do you use external USB Wi-Fi device?

I just picked up my MacBook which was no longer physically connected to my Ethernet, and had Internet connectivity under Windows, even though Windows shows only an Ethernet connection. It appears that Windows is using the MacBook's wifi connection. Originally, there was a separate setup for wifi in the virtual machine. No it appears that this is no longer needed with the latest version of Parallels.

Yes, it uses Mac's Wi-Fi connection but emulates ethernet one in Windows. Separate setup, however, couldn't be there. Wi-Fi adapter (as any piece of hardware) cannot be used concurrently by Mac and Windows=)

    Dear Marat and Team,

I understand we use Mac's wifi and emulate ethernet inside Win10 VM. That's working great (easy setup, BTW, thanks!)

Question is -- Is there *any* conceivable way to have access to a "wifi device" inside windows10 VM, even if I am willing to somehow give up host control of device?

I want to be able to see SSIDs from inside Windows10 VM.

    Ideas?

    thanks

Parallels Desktop supports only connecting USB devices, so USB Wi-Fi adapter is supposed to work fine inside VM

I believe that you see the ssid in the mac System/Network/Network Name window as it appears that is the connection you are using.
