Hi!!! When I try to instal the parallels tools it shows me a message that says that an error has ocurred, restart windows and try again. I do that and nothing happens. The message keeps showing. Can someone help me please??
Hello Juan, Please follow this article and run the registry fix. Uninstall anti virus (if any) Should the above solution does not work then please let us know at which particular point the installation stops.
Hi, I too am running windows 7 and parallels 11, on OSX El Capitain. I tried following the instructions you suggested here, I tried booting it from the D: Drive, I tried Putting the Tools on my C: Drive manually and installing it that way as suggested here: http://kb.parallels.com/en/112609 I tried re-installing parallels, and nothing has worked. I always get a message from the Parallels Tools installation agent saying "There was a problem updating parallels Tools." Since installing Yosemite, My VM has been totally unable to connect to any internet network, be it Shared, Bridged, or Host-Only, The forums suggested it was probably because parallels tools wasn't installed, but that hasn't worked either. Please help.
Hi!! Well, it doesnt works either. The installation stops at 69%, then a pop up message appears saying that there was a problem and that I need to restart parallels. Then I do that but the problem just stays the same.
hi! For anyone that still has the problem, follow the article that Sylvester posted. It really works!!!
Hey, My problem was a little different. I turns out my windows installer was disabeled, so I followed the steps here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/6828-63-windows-installer-correctly-installed-windows, and I can now dowload Paralells Tools. The steps are: Start the Windows Installer service 1. Click Start, type Services.msc and press {ENTER} 2. Double-click Windows Installer 3. Set the Startup type of Windows Installer to Manual
