Hi, please help before I irreversibly damage my Macbook. I have Parallels 11 and a new USB copy of Windows 11, 2 days later still no Windows 10. I already have XP working (for years). When trying to install Windows 10, first wouldn't automatically find the USB (found KB on that, blank VM, hardware, click USB boot etc). Installs Windows up until it need to automatically restart. From there I either get a blank screen or a blue windows symbol, 99% CPU usage forever and no results. After trying every method I can find on google, I cannot get the thing to load (have restarted from scratch several times). I've tried starting windows in safe mode, but I can only get to the page where is says press F8 for options, yet F8 won't do anything, neither will enter to continue. Anyone else had this, XP went on now problem, after constant bullying I've upgraded parallels, bought windows 10 and £135 lighter still have only old faithful XP working. Thanks.
Hi Richard, In the past in-order to use the f8 key you also had to use the fn key. Have you tried this solution to boot into recovery mode for windows 10: http://kb.parallels.com/en/122840 Please make sure you follow the instructions for making the f1, f2 etc key standard function keys.
