Keyboard/mouse on real Windows 7 system is being used to control Yosemite system Problem: While in vm modifier keys (CTL, ALT, SHIFT) have no effect Observations: a) Mouse and keyboard, including modifier keys work in host OS (Yosemite) b) Mouse and keyboard, except modifier keys work in vms I have searched for reports of others with this problem to no avail. Is this a known issue?
Hi All, Please go to the Parallels Desktop menu > Preferences > Shortcuts tab > System Shortcuts > set 'Send System Shortcuts' option to 'Always'. Restart Virtual Machine and use Ctrl, Alt, Shift keys and let us know how it works.
No luck. I also tried mapping the keys (shift->shift) as described in another support entry. IIRC, this was also a problem with Synergy some time ago.
Hi, Go to VM Configuration > Hardware Tab > Check the settings of Mouse & Keyboard > Smart Mouse and choose Auto-detect for the games and check how it works.
EXACT same problem. I've tried auto-detect, mapping SHIFT... everything mentioned across a dozen threads. No luck. At best, my shift key sometimes (rarely) works. If I plug a keyboard directly into the Mac, it also works. This isn't a user or configuration issue. It's a flat out bug. FIX IT.
