Hi, I was wondering if this feature actually works for some people? For me i does not! I use a VM for old softwares I need to use for electronic stuff like I used to do as a student. At first I chose to give it 20GB which I thought would be enough, I was wrong after I installed altera quartus 2 plus modelsim (used for programming CPLDs & FPGAs). I thought I could just extend the hard drive by 5GB and I was wrong again... for some reason each time I tried to extend it it made me have the BSOD while booting. I tried multiple times and it just does not work at all. Is there a solution to that issue? I use VMware at work and I did extend VM hard drives and it worked perfectly each time, maybe windows XP doesn't like it (on my laptop) and windows 7 (at work) is ok with that kind of manipulation. Does someone has any idea what I could do about it? Thanks!
Hello Mornet, please refer to this article to extend virtual hard disk size and let us know how it works.
Hi, Well, that worked this time! I guess the checkdisk before extending the hard drive did the trick. Thanks for the help.
