    Hi,

I was wondering if this feature actually works for some people? For me i does not!

I use a VM for old softwares I need to use for electronic stuff like I used to do as a student.
At first I chose to give it 20GB which I thought would be enough, I was wrong after I installed altera quartus 2 plus modelsim (used for programming CPLDs & FPGAs). I thought I could just extend the hard drive by 5GB and I was wrong again... for some reason each time I tried to extend it it made me have the BSOD while booting. I tried multiple times and it just does not work at all.

Is there a solution to that issue? I use VMware at work and I did extend VM hard drives and it worked perfectly each time, maybe windows XP doesn't like it (on my laptop) and windows 7 (at work) is ok with that kind of manipulation.
Does someone has any idea what I could do about it? Thanks!

    Hi,

    Well, that worked this time!
I guess the checkdisk before extending the hard drive did the trick. Thanks for the help.
