Mouse movement sometimes scrolls the window under me, when I am not scrolling - I am just moving the mouse pointer.

Sometimes this is just an annoyance as a window scrolls itself far from where I want it to be and I have to get back to where I was typing.

But it has also caused me to make terrible mistakes, as sometimes the window scrolls under me exactly when I am performing an operation.

In addition - the mouse "Snap To" function, which I have set, does not work.

In Explorer, if I move in to delete a file via Right Click, Delete and the window flies out from under me, it's too late to stop my movement, and I delete the wrong file. I deleted a critical folder the other day, as I missed by one row - didn't discover it until the next day, and recovered the folder from the Recycle Bin.

Fortunately I don't integrate the Recycle Bin with Trash, and was able to recover my deleted folder easily.

EDIT: More things go wrong with mouse scrolling. There are Windows applications that show more than one window, where scrolling of either window can happen just by moving the mouse over it. This is how OS/X works - you don't have to click in a window to scroll it, you just have to hover over it. But OS/X is intelligent about it - despite things like inertia, or simply being in the middle of a very fast scroll, when you hover over a second window, scrolling immediately stops, and you have to initiate a new scrolling action in the new window.

What is going wrong in Windows iis if I scroll one window and then quickly hover over another window of the same application, the scrolling continues in the second window, rather than stopping as it should.

It seems like the inertia continues to be applied even as I switch windows. I have no way of disabling inertia even if I wanted to, and there is no way to get comfortable scrolling behavior in OS X without mouse inertia, because you can't "flick" quickly to scroll a page a long distance - in order to flick, your finger has to come off the mouse, and without inertia, the scrolling stops in its tracks.

    Here are my configuration details:
    OS X El Capitan 10.11.1
    Parallels 11.1.0 (32202)
    Edit: I have updated to 11.1.1 (32312)
Edit: Parallels Tools - Parallels Control Center, File Properties/Details: 11.1.1 (32312)

    iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015)
    Magic Mouse 2 (Bluetooth)

Note: On the following options Mouse Options pop-up, the setting for Inertia does not appear for this mouse and system. However, I can see that inertia is enabled.

In addition, I found a page that suggested using Boot flag: devices.usb.mouse=0, and have tried this setting as well.

There are so may combinations of variables that I might try, that I don't really know where to start.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello IraF,
Please try to change your Mouse configuration to "Do not optimize for games" by clicking Actions>Configure>Hardware>Mouse&Keyboard and see how it works.
