    Hi all,
My system is a Macbook Pro 13" 2015 model and I have a bootcamp partition setup with windows 10. I am following the steps from here except when I select the bootcamp harddrive through the manual setup (it doesnt show the boot camp option in the primary window), it gives me the following error:

    Code:
Failed to configure the Boot Camp partition's
A disk configuration error has occurred. Make sure that you have read/write permissions for the disk.
and when I press for details, I get:

    Code:
    Error: PRL_ERR_UNIMPLEMENTED (0x80000008)
    Path: '/Users/Shaheen/Documents/Parallels/Windows 10.pvm/APPLE SSD SM0256G (disk0).hdd'
I have even followed the directions from here and it still doesnt work.
Any help is much appreciated right now, ive been dealing with this for more than a day...

I am having the same issue except I am using Parallels 10. I have a fresh install of Windows 10 on bootcamp but when i follow the steps in the two articles you list above there is no option to select the bootcamp setup.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Support was very helpful in my case. Turned out that I had to repair the Bootcamp partition (boot into Windows 10, select disk properties, tools and then force a disk check). It found a couple of errors which it fixed during reboot. After that, the Bootcamp partition was found by Parallels Wizard and runs smoothly now in a VM.

I have exactly the same case, however after I did disk check, it shows no error at all. After booting back to Mac, Parallels still show the same error as:
    Code:
Failed to configure the Boot Camp partition's
A disk configuration error has occurred. Make sure that you have read/write permissions for the disk.
My system is Macbook Pro Retina 15" 2015. Anyone else still experiencing this issue despite of forcing a diskcheck to Bootcamp partition?

Unfortunately, I've already used the latest version 11.0.1-31277 since the beginning. It's still hasn't been fixed.

    I have the same problem.
Am now running El Capitan (10.11.1) with Parallels 11 (11.1.0 32202) and where there used to be a Bootcamp option to install a VM from, it is no longer there. After running through the instructions on http://kb.parallels.com/en/116235, I also receive the following error when I try to select the Bootcamp partition as the source:

    Error: PRL_ERR_UNIMPLEMENTED (0x80000008)

    Path: '/Users/jonathanmiller/Documents/Parallels/Windows 10.pvm/APPLE SSD SM512E (disk0).hdd'

I had the same problem running Yosemite with Parallels 10, so I thought upgrading would fix the issue. I was wrong.

Uninstall 3rd party NTFS utilities e.g. Tuxera.

The above poster's solution (won't let me post the character's in their name for some reason) worked for me. Had to uninstall Tuxera NTFS (remember to deactivate and copy the license number first!), and Parallels was able to detect I had a Bootcamp partition and installed a VM off of that. Re-installed Tuxera and now it seems everything is working.

I don't have Tuxera NTFS and I am getting this error. I have tried everything I could find listed to fix this. I have repaired my HD from OSX, run disk scan and chkdsk /r from windows 10, none of these are working. I have the latest parallels download (11.1.3 (32521)). Does anyone know how to get this running??

@MatthewB9 Did you ever find a resolution? I am in the same boat. The only thing that may be different for me is I run a 3 partition system on my mac, OSX, a Data Partition and Bootcamp. VMware fusion works fine with my setup, but I get the permissions error with Parallels. I want to switch because all reports Ive read are that Visual Studio builds from are faster using Parallels, with fusion my current project takes 3 minutes to build. Its ridiculous.

For me booting into vmware fusion bootcamp and running from a command line chkdsk /b worked. Then I uninstalled the vmware tools, shut the vm down and was able to create a bootcamp machine in Parallels. Build time for my project in visual studio is now 25-30 seconds down from 3+ minutes in vmware fusion.
