I am using Parallel Desktop version 11.1.0 (32202) on a MacPro 2010 (6-core) running MacOS 10.11.1 with 24 GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon R9 280x. The guest system is Fedora 20 i686 (whether I use the PAE kernel or not does not matter for the issue I am reporting here). Today, I was proposed the latest update to Parallel Tools. After it went through, the system rebooted but it got stuck at the following stage:

    Starting User Manager for 1000...
[ OK ] Started Authorisation Manager.
[ OK ] Started Accounts Service.
[ OK ] Started User Manager for 1000.

    I have attached parallels-tools-install.log

I did experiment a bit more: I can boot in single user mode. Inspecting /var/log/parallels.log, I see that neither libGL.so.1 nor libglx.so are found. My VM was working perfectly fine before the Parallels Tools update, so it seems to me that the latter messed up OpenGL support...

More experiments: fresh install of Fedora 20 i386 in a new VM. Parallel Tools install and run fine at next reboot. So not solved but at least a good workaround.
