Hi. I installed the Parallels 11 trial recently. I noticed that it adds one or two additions to the Mac context menu. Whenever you right-click on a file or folder it will say either "Reveal in Windows" or "Open in windows" at the bottom. I really don't like this, and I can't get rid of it. Even uninstalling Parallels doesn't remove these options, which is dumb :(

I have tried disabling various Applications and Sharing options in Parallels. Most noticeably the "Windows Applications folder" in Mac, which I didn't like either. That got removed, but these context menu options seem to be forever part of my Mac now :( Choosing the option that isolates Windows from Mac doesn't work either. No matter if I buy Parallels and keep using Virtual Windows occasionally I wouldn't want this feature. If I were to open a file in Windows I would much prefer to drag it into the Windows environment and open it from there. It looks ugly and out of place in the context menu, but that's just my opinion :)

    Any help would be appreciated.

Sure :) Here's a fullscreen screenshot where I have right-clicked a file. As you can see the options to reveal and open in Windows are still there even though I have removed Parallels.

Furthermore, if I were to buy Parallels I would prefer that these options weren't there at all. I think it looks out of place, and I have no use for them. But I haven't been able to figure out how to remove these entries from the context menu, no matter what I changed in Parallels.

Any answer on this? I too would like to remove these. Its a bit of a pain when you accidentally select the option and a full blown VM starts up.

Hey, looks like that you didn't remove all Parallels component, could you please look for some .pvm file.
Anyway, it this case we need a bit more tech. info and once you have a free time, please install Parallels again, then create the problem report using this KB when the "reveal Windows" option will appear.
    Thanks.

    Maria,

In my case, I don't want to uninstall Parallels, just the right context menu options. I use Parallels every day, with several Windows VMs, but I want more isolation between the VMs and the Mac OS.
