    Hi Guys,

I run Windows 7 on my Mac using Parallels and recently upgraded to El Captain, Parallels 11, and MacDrive 10 Pro. Previously I was able to double click on files for Windows applications through my Mac Finder and Parallels would activate and open the correct application. In the past I was also able to share my clipboard between the two applications.

Since the upgrade neither of these functions are working and I can no longer view the content of my my mac drives from the Windows environment. I can see them in explorer however when I try to double click on them I get the error message: "You need to format the disk in drive F: before you can use it".

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

    thanks

    george

Wonder why reinstallation of Parallels tools fixes the problem. My virtual drive has been running well for weeks and then part way through today unable to open excel and word docs form the Finder window. Can only open from inside the virtual drive. Reinstalling Parallels Tools fixes the problem.....why why did I get the problem

One of the probable root cause of this issue is the Mac OS upgrade. Not every time, but it happens.
