I am looking for tips to get Windows to recognize custom URL protocols that open documents on the OS X side. Specifically, as in Windows, many OS X apps register custom URLs such as "x-devonthink-item://", "omnifocus:///task/", and so forth. I have Parallels configured to "Share Mac Applications Windows" but this "sharing" does not extend to Windows recognizing the URL protocols of Mac apps. I imagine there is a long way to do this -- modify the Windows registry manually -- but was hoping there was a short way of some sort, i.e., a technique using Parallels tools.

If Parallels cannot help help -- then I'd be happy to hear the instruction of anyone who has knows how to modify the Windows registry so that when a custom URL link is clicked in a Windows application then the OS X application is activated (depending ont the content of the link).

Apologies if for some users this is an obvious question with a simple answer or if the answer is already posted. It's not obvious to me, I'm simple, and I didn't find the answer in the forum. :(
