Hi. Is there a way to force power save mode? I use a 12v car adapter often and PD uses %20 of my CPU in the background all the time. It often jumps to 100% if I make the mistake of hiding the window.

I turned off 3D and selected optimize for power instead of speed. I don't know how many CPUs I should emulate. I've tried 1 and 2.

    Hi Ballo,
In most cases, one CPU (two CPUs in Parallels Desktop 10/11) will provide better performance. Assigning several CPUs for the virtual machine may be required in case you run software that performs a significant number of calculations, such as scientific software or online trades software. If you're not sure if the application you want to run on the virtual machine requires more than one CPU, test it with one CPU assigned for the virtual machine. If your virtual machine is slow, try with two or more CPUs.

Please refer to http://kb.parallels.com/112091 to improve virtual machine performance on your Mac.

So, no way to turn on the powersave mode other than by unplugging my macbook?
