    Hi folks,

Im very new to Mac and parallels so my apologies for my ignorance.

I have just got a new Macbook Pro and having used Windows for a very long time it was quite a change. I took my internal hard drive from my Windows laptop, converted it into an external hard drive (placing it into a case etc) and have Parallels Desktop 10 on Macbook Pro and was hoping to use the hard drive etc via Mac and parallels. However I can't seem to find how to get this to work properly.
When I use bootcamp, it comes up as configuring then stops saying "need to log into Windows to continue" but I can't seem to access anything to allow me to log in etc or even type anything.

It is Windows 7 that is installed on the hard drive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Hello Hassan1,
Parallels Desktop will not recognize the external hard disk with native Windows, you would need to have an active copy of Windows as well as installation CD or an ISO image of the Windows installation CD.Please follow the knowledge base article to install or create Windows virtual machine refer to http://kb.parallels.com/en/4729
