I am trying to install windows 10. on my screen I get the information, shown in the attached screen shot, that something from parallels is missing to make my installation possible. What is it and what should I do? TIA
What is Parallels Display Adapter that windows 10 requires to be installed. See the attached screen shot
yeah. good 'ole parallels. anyway the answer is to download and run the media creator. basically it bypasses all the checks for windows 10 and just downloads it and installs it. (this is a tool from microsoft, not parallels, aimed mostly at admins who want to update multiple machines across an enterprise and not download the files many many times...) i had no problems installing windows 10 using that method. it's probably because the driver that parallels uses for the display is not properly signed or something, so the in-place update does not like that. http://kb.parallels.com/en/123053
