Parallels Desktop 9 Activation Issue

    Okay so I am trying to help a friend out with his computer and I'm having an issue getting Parallels Desktop 9 to activate. His old drive was bad but still booted, and I used Mac KeyFinder (from Magic Jelly Bean) to recover his Parallels product key. Tried installing Parallels Desktop 9 and using that product key and it did not work. I'm signed into his account right now so I can use it for customer support, and it looks like there is a Parallels Desktop 7 product key stored under his account. That product key is different from the one that was recovered. Regardless, I have tried installing Parallels Desktop 9 and activating with both product keys, but neither key worked. I tried installing Parallels Desktop 7, but I get the message "Parallels Desktop cannot be installed on your Mac. Parallels Desktop can be installed only on Mac OS X Leopard (version 10.5.2 or higher) or Mac OS X Snow Leopard." I was hoping that I could install Parallels Desktop 7 and use the product key to activate, and then upgrade to Parallels Desktop 9, but that does not look like an option at this point. I'm really just looking for someone to point me in the right direction or someone from Parallels to help me get Parallels Desktop 9 activated.

    Please provide your friend's email address registered with Parallels Desktop and activation key of Parallels Desktop 7 which you tried to activate. You can send to me in a private message. We'll check and assist you further.
