I cannot enable location services in Windows 10. I just upgraded to Parallels 11 in hopes that it would fix the issue, but it has not.
I am running Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 (MBP13-Late2013), Parallels 11, and my guest is Windows 10 Pro (an upgrade from Windows 7 Ultimate)
Everything works great on the Win10 guest, except that the Location setting under Settings>Privacy, Location is turned off and greyed out.
This means that I cannot enable Cortana.
I have hours of searches logged on this issue so far, and nothing seems to work to fix the issue.
Any suggestions on how I can get location service to enable?

    Am I reading that correctly?
    Here is my interpretation:
"Location services uses a WiFi adapter to get location. Since the parallels virtual network adapter is presented to the guest as a wired adapter, location services cannot start."
I don't really know what to make of the last part since 3D support has nothing to do with location services...
To be honest, the linked thread seems a bit disjointed... Kind of like hearing only one side of a conversation.
Is there a work-around so that I can set my location manually?

I am resetting Windows 10 to default (erasing all files) to see if it helps.

That was it. Resetting Windows 10 to defaults did the trick. Location services is now available again. Something must have carried over from Windows 7.
