Parallels Desktop v10 trial is installed and I'm running into a "problem".
I have created a video and posted it on Youtube so you can see what I mean:

    This is the situation:

I have a multiple desktop (Spaces) configured on my Mac.
Parallels is open on Desktop/Space 2. I switch to Desktop/Space 3 and open up Safari. I switch back to Desktop/Space 2 (Parallels).
I press the Safari icon in my dock which brings me back to Desktop/Space 3 where Safari is open. When I close Safari, Parallels automatically switches back to it's own Desktop/Space.

    Parallels is open on Desktop/Space 2. I switch to Desktop/Space 1 and open up 1Password . I switch back to Desktop/Space 2 (Parallels).
I press the 1Password icon in my dock which brings me back to Desktop/Space 1 where 1Password is open. When I close 1Password, Parallels automatically switches back to it's own Desktop/Space.

Of course this happens with all applications and not only Safari and 1Password, those are just examples.
This is very annoying. I do not want Parallels to get its focus back when I quit another application. It needs to stay on the Desktop/Space where I close the application (Safari, 1Password) and not switch back to the Desktop/Space where Parallels is located.
Is there a way to fix this? I really do not want to switch back to VMware Fusion (bad Retina support) but this is so annoying.

    MacBook Pro early 2015
    Yosemite 10.10.3

System Prefs > Spaces and then uncheck the checkbox at the bottom: "When switching to an application, switch to a space with open windows for the application" is not the solution. It is a workaround but I do not want this box to be unchecked.
All other application do not have this problem. Only Parallels Desktop is affected...

    Hi Panja,
Please try un-installing and re-installing Parallels Desktop, this will restore all the settings if there is any changes made.
    1. To un-install Parallels Desktop, refer to this article, http://kb.parallels.com/122653
    2. Reboot the Mac.
    3. To re-install Parallels Desktop, refer to this article, http://kb.parallels.com/122647

Note: Un-installing and re-installing Parallels Desktop will not affect your virtual machine.

    Thanks for the reply Dhruba.

Unfortunately I already tried to uninstall and reinstall a few times without any luck...
Also tried uninstalling with tools like AppDelete. No luck... Problem remains.

    Hi Panja,
Try creating an empty virtual machine and map the existing hard drive and check how it works. Refer to this article, http://kb.parallels.com/121578

    Hi Panja0,
Please click on Apple icon > System preferences > Mission Control > Un check "Displays have separate spaces " > Restart the mac and check if the issue still persisting, if the issue still persisting try creating an empty virtual machine and map the existing hard drive and let us know how it works.

clearly you parallels forum helpers are not paying attention to what he is asking, i have the same issue and i hate parallels because of it, if vmware was any better of a product i would go back to them, i tell everyone that ask my about my cpu set up how stupid and lame parallels is, the "workspaces-auto-swoosh" feature is pure crap. and to suggest the things that the have been suggested a insult to his issue with your platform.

defaults write com.apple.Dock workspaces-auto-swoosh -bool NO
    killall Dock

does not help, please do something useful and provide the code and we can turn it off yourself and no longer need to be subjected to such poor execution of code d behavior and forum support.

Did you try to tick/untick the option"Displays have separate Spaces" (in System preferences -> mission control)?

Maria, you do not think that is the first thing that we tried?? we are looking into terminal code to change the undesired behavior, please respond in kind as we have already tried what should have worked as the solution, but has not.

Maria, serious? Of course we have tried that!
Could you please investigate and give a proper answer to this question?

Guys, please accept our apologize for the delay in response.
We will escalate this issue to our Development team to investigate it further. But we need a bit more information from you.
Could you please generate the problem report using this KB and reply us back with the report 8-digit ID number.
Please generate the problem report right after reproducing the issue.

Having same issues here as well. All of this makes me want to go back to a Windows only machine. Using both operating systems ensures you do not get the best of both. This sucks.
