    Hello,
I want to migrate an XP machine to a virtual machine. The virtual machine is stored on a NAS.
Works perfectly, and much faster then expected.... the only issue that I have is... that I want that all personal files/docs/desktop files stay in the virtual machine.

It looks like parallels or doesn't migrate those files.... or moves them in shared mac folders in your mac home folder.
Biggest problem is that the virtual machine is stored on my NAS (OK, perfect), but the files are always forced in the mac home folders... and I don't have enough disk space (SSD) to do that.

Is there a method, so my whole xp system is migrated in to a virtual machine (with all its files?) in 1 block
Or.... is there a method to define the location of the users/ files before migration ... ?

I checked all docs and manuals... and can't find any solution

    Thank you

    Hi JorisH1,
It may be because you might have enabled sharing feature on your Virtual machine, Please refer http://kb.parallels.com/122567 to know more about Parallels Desktop Sharing Tools, try to disable "Shared Profile " and check if all of your files are sharing on Windows XP VM,
Please follow the steps below to disable Shared Profile:
    1. Open virtual machine window (Do not click Start).
    2. Open virtual machine configuration > switch to Options tab > Sharing.
    3. Un check Shared Profile checkbox and check if all of your files are sharing on Windows XP VM,
