Hi. I'm trying to install Windows 8.1 on my Mac. I have purchased a copy of Windows 8.1 and it comes with two disks, one 32-bit and one 64-bit. Which would work better with Parallels? I'm trying to install on a 21" iMac, 8GB DD43, 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 (Graphics Intel Iris Pro 1536mb).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi SianP,
This depends on what is your usage of Windows 8.1
If you need Windows for running a normal productive purpose then a 32-bit will do more than enough. It can acquire a maximum of 4GB RAM.
In case if you have a top notch usage of Windows with high end applications and software developments. Then you can use 64-Bit as it can be assigned with RAM more than 4GB.
Also, both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 8.1 will work perfectly fine on your Mac. However the choice depends on your usage.
