Cant update from Windows 10 Preview to Windows 10. Please help

Hi,
I am trying to upgrade from Windows 10 Preview which I installed with Parallels (it was offered as an option) to the new Windows 10 version. However, there are no such options - no matter where I look.

Hi Michael,
Windows 10 Technical Preview do not allow you to upgrade to full version of Windows 10. If you have an existing virtual machine like Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 you are eligible for free upgrade to Windows 10.

 

Except, when trying to... Getting error message indicating the Display is not compatible with Windows 10... On MacBook Pro Retina 2014.
I Installed the final version of the Windows 10 .iso and Windows 10 is working, but you will have to reinstall all your software.
Not sure if Parallels is working on this Display issue with
Direct-X 11
and
Now the Windows Not compatible Screen error message.

 

I have other Windows 8 installations and I have their certificates. However, I want to know what I can do with my existing installation on Parallels. I already have software installed on my Win 10 Preview. Is there any way to upgrade?

 

Hi, Windows 10 Upgrade Offer is valid for qualified Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 devices, As we mentioned earlier Windows 10 Technical Preview do not allow you to upgrade to full version of Windows 10.

In this situation, As you've a Windows 8 installation-please contact Microsoft to upgrade it to Windows 8.1, once your Windows 8 is upgrade to Windows 8.1, please follow the steps suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/122884 to know how to upgrade your Windows 8.1 virtual machine to Windows 10.
