How Long Should a Typical Install Take?

I have a iMac 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 with 8GB of RAM and a 1TB HD.
Can anyone tell me about how long a typical install of Parallels and Windows 8 will take?

Hi Jason01,
A typical installation process of Parallels Desktop will only take 5 minutes and if you have an iso image file of Windows 8 then Windows installation will not take more than 20-25 minutes.

Thank you for the reply. Much appreciated.
Parallels did in fact install very quickly. 5 minutes or less. However, Windows 8 has been installing for a very, very long time. Over 1 hour already.
I'm hoping that this Windows install will be finished shortly and will be fucntional.

Sometimes Windows takes a little longer to get installed. We would suggest you to wait for some more time to see if it gets done. Also feel free to reach out if some unknown issue falls on your way during the installation.
