I have a MacBook Pro, and im trying to download windows 7 on my laptop. But everytime i start it i only get to the boot up page and it says things like "no boot device is available" or a popup message saying "There is no operating system installed in this virtual machine". Please help as I am still in my 14 day trial.
Hi TristanD1, Parallels Desktop for Mac does not include Microsoft Windows. If you don't have a Windows installation DVD or an .iso disc image, you can purchase the DVD from retail stores or online retailers or the Microsoft Online Store. Could you please let us know how you are trying to install Windows 7 is it using a DVD or a installation iso image? so that we can help you better.
Oh I don't have microsoft windows, can you show me where i can get that?? And was Parallels always like this? I remember using one a long time ago without having microsoft windows.
Hi TristanD1, As I've intimated you earlier, Parallels Desktop for Mac does not include Microsoft Windows, you can purchase the DVD from retail stores or online retailers or the Microsoft Online Store. If you want to use Windows for test purpose before you purchasing it, please refer http://kb.parallels.com/122641 to install pre-configured test Windows virtual machine.
Yes, you can install Windows Applications to run on this test Virtual Machine. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
