Windows 8.1 installation problems

When I installed Parallels Desktop I inadvertently installed the Windows 10 preview.

Now, when I try to install a version of Win 8.1 purchased from the Microsoft Store I get an error message stating my platform doesn't support the installation of Win 8.1. I'm running a year old iMac with the latest version/update of Yosemite. Do I have to uninstall the preview version of Win 10 in order to install Win 8.1 ??
