I downloaded parallels and it is saying that I need more memory than my macbook pro has without anything on the computer. I just want to set up my computer to run windows software to do menial tasks such as spreadsheets and document uploading but I dont need to RDP in to my PC on the daily.

Its not that its an error message its that I dont have enough space on a macbook pro to even install and run the virtualization software. Once I install it do I need to have my PC running to access files and run windows on the mac?

Its not so much a system requirement. I guess I am asking if I want to run windows do I need to have a PC to virtualize off of?
