I just bought a late 2013 iMac, 3.2ghz, 24g ram etc. I installed Parallels 10 on it and windows 8.1 (was previously using a 2011 MB Pro with Parallels 7 and windows vista).

I use windows for work, and a windows only program, which is running smoothly for the most part. However, in the program, which is basically just a form with fields for data entry, I can't scroll up and down with the Magic Mouse. I don't have issues with scrolling in Firefox on windows, or internet explorer.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

There are two things that might cause to this issue. One turn off smooth scrolling in Parallels under hardware => mouse. If that doesn't fix it (turn it back on), you have to have USB connected to your virtual machine in order to emulate a mouse (long story how/why). That setting is under hardware just see if you have USB listed as hardware.

Is the software custom software by your company?

    Thank you so much!!!

Turning off smooth scrolling fixed it. I tried two different logitech mouses in the meantime which weren't bad, but the magic mouse just kills them overall.

    Thanks!!
