which parallels versions can accept which VMs?

    In the past, I have had problems moving a VM from an older Mac to a newer Mac when there were different versions of parallels on each.
    The knowledgebase article that keeps coming up on Google searches, only talks about moving a VM to a new machine, not a VM to a newer version of Parallels.
    Where is the page/document that says which versions of VMs can be read/migrated by which versions of Parallels?

    Hi Polyglotinc,
    By moving Virtual Machine to new Mac with different version of Parallels Desktop does not affect Virtual Machine and it would still work the same. Please follow the steps given at http://kb.parallels.com/114118 to transfer Virtual Machine from one Mac to another Mac.

    That is good to hear...definitely not the case back in the version 4 era. It would be nice if that KB page you point to said that explicitly.
