I don't think this feature yet exists (correct me if I'm wrong), but it would be amazing if the Parallels team could add support to maximize a window within Windows to its own space in OS X so that you could four-finger swipe to it. I think anyone would agree that this would significantly enhance productivity. Using Dexpot within Windows isn't really a great option, as it's resource intensive, and you can't use the four-finger swipe gesture. If you do this, I don't see why you couldn't then also create a container to have Windows or Linux apps layered among other VMs and OS X. Do correct me if I'm wrong, or if this can't be done for legal reasons.
Hi Jeff, Please (re)install Parallels Tools as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4841 and switch Windows Virtual Machine to Full screen mode to check whether you can maximize Windows window to its own space. To switch Windows in Full screen mode, Go to View menu > Click "Enter Full screen".
