    Hi.

I am running Parallels Desktop for Mac 9, and the other day I upgraded my Mac from running Mavericks to Yosemite.

I didn't notice at the time, but at some stage during the Yosemite upgrade the link that I had in my Finder side bar, which led to my Windows 7 documents folder, went missing.

So now I am unable to drag a Mac file over to it, and have that file arrive in my Windows documents folder.

Has anyone any idea how I might get this link back please?

    Cheers.

    Slight update...

I find that when I restart my Mac, and before I launch Parallels, my Finder sidebar has BOOTCAMP in the sidebar, in the 'Devices' section. While that is shown there I can select it to see my Windows folders in Finder, then drag the folder I'm after into the sidebar under Favourites. When I did this I thought I'd cracked the problem.

BUT... Although this BOOTCAMP device remains there when I launch Parallels, as soon as I try to restart Windows 7 inside Parallels both the BOOTCAMP device and the shortcut to the folder that I'd dragged into Favourites disappears. It seems I cannot have Windows running now and have BOOTCAMP showing in my sidebar at the same time, which is not convenient...

(I could definitely have BOOTCAMP and the Windows folder in my sidebar under Mavericks.)

Is this likely to be a problem on the Mac Yosemite side, or a problem with Parallels?
