I am using parallels desktop 10 with yosemite 10.10.2. Previously, application folder for windows was always on the dock (ie. application folder was on the dock regardless parallels was running or not) but when i have re-installed parallels, application folder only show up on the dock when VM is running and if i shut down VM then application folder will disappear from the dock. Is there a way i can keep/stick the application folder on the dock regardless VM is running or not? thanks kyu
Hi Kim, With your VM selected but not turned on under Actions - Configurations - Applications - Make sure you have Checked Share Windows applications with Mac Show Windows Applications folder in dock Hope this information helps you.
thanks for the reply - however, options which you have mentioned are already checked but application folder still doesn't show when VM is turned off.

hello, thank for the input. I have tried all and it still doesn't work. I tried reinstalling parallels and it still doesn't work. I have attached file showing parallels informing applications is removed from dock after shutting off VM. Maybe attached photo can give more help. Thanks Kyu
Hello Kimk, Please follow the steps as suggested below & check how it works. 1. Open Virtual machine configuration window refer KB article http://kb.parallels.com/117287 , click on Options --> Applications --> Disable Show Windows applications folder in Dock and Share Windows applications with Mac. 2. Restart Windows. 3. Follow the steps as suggested in the KB aticle http://kb.parallels.com/4841, (re)install Parallels Tools & restart Windows. 4. Enable Show Windows applications folder in Dock and Share Windows applications with Mac in Configuration settings. 5. Restart Windows and check with the issue. If the issue still persists, please generate a Problem Report Id using the Knowledge Base article http://kb.parallels.com/9058 and provide us the Problem Report Id , we will check with the it and help you further.
