The title says exactly what I have. Here is my problem:

When I try to open a file that uses a Windows platform application from iCloud Drive using Finder I receive an error that the path could not be found. However, if I open up Windows Explorer or one of the Windows platform applications (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.) and open the file via the share path, it opens fine. After going though various support emails and a screen share with Parallels, they are now telling me that it is caused by a "~" character in the name of the iCloud Drive folder. The name is com~Apple~CloudDocs and was created automatically when installing Yosemite. Parallels is saying that it needs to be changed. My concern is that changing it may cause an issue with some of the Mac OS native functionality with the folder. My second concern is that I cannot locate this folder anywhere in the directory to even change it. Parallels has since directed me to Apple to change it.

So, first, does anyone else have their iCloud Docs folder named as I do? Second, does anyone open documents via Finder and not get the error from the Guest OS? I will be writing in the Apple forum as well as I feel as though this may be a bug with either P10 and/or Yosemite but wanted to see what others here thought.

I'm having the same issue, when I try open a document from iCloud Drive via Finder I get an error saying "Windows cannot access \\psf\iCloud\com~apple~CloudDocs\..." In regard to your original post I copied the folder com~apple~CloudDocs to a new folder named comAppleCloudDocs, and when I tried to open a document in the new folder I received the same error "Windows cannot access \\psf\iCloud\comAppleCloudDocs\..." Does the folder need to have a specific name? Why can't Parallels accommodate the tilde?

    Windows cannot access \\psf\iCloud\com~apple~CloudDocs\...
Does anyone found how to fix it?

So I think I figured out a solution to this after playing around a bit. It is probably a bit of a duct tape solution, but it works. I am still reaching out to support to see if I can find the right way, but in the meantime....
    - With the virtual machine turned off, go to the configuration settings.
    - option tab
    - sharing menu
    - under "Share Folders", click the "Custom Folders..." Button
    - click the plus sign to add a folder
    - select your iCloud Drive folder
    - ensure the permissions are set to read and write.
    - Click Ok.
    - Close the configuration menu
    - Launch your VM
    - You should be able to double click files in iCloud Drive and let them open in VM specified application.
By the way I am running Yosemite 10.10.3 (beta) and Windows 8.1 as my VM.

    Hope this helps!
