I updated my Mac from 10.6.8 to 10.9.5. When I try using my Parallels 7, it gives me a screen that asks for my activation key along with my User Name and Password. When I enter them, the screen vibrates and nothing activates. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Parallels, but it does the same thing. I don't think any of my information is incorrect because I have printed it right on my parallels disk. What should I try next?

    Hi,

First of all I would like to inform you that Parallels Desktop 7 is not compatible with Mac OSX 10.9.5. Only Parallels Desktop 9 & 10 are compatible with Mac OSX 10.9.5.

You have to enter the user name and password of Parallels Account for registering and activating Parallels Desktop. You can also click on Forgot Password option if you do not remember the password.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Is Parallels 10 my best choice for replacement of Parallels 7.0? Will 10 be able to use the Windows XP I previously used to access my Window files? Will this also allow me to used my 'old' 2004 Microsoft Office where I have all my useful files (i.e.. passwords, hobby collections, etc)? Thanks, I would never have known P7 was not compatible without your help. Thanks again.
