How to reset/reinstall Parallels?

I believe my preferences in Parallels are screwed up.

When I installed P I moved a Windows VM from Fusion. Within that VM some Fusion tech guys had done some weird mapping and every time I would try to attach a file to a document (like a file to an email), there is a substantial pause between clicking the attach icon an getting the dialog box. My browser preferences also seem really messed up.

I have a lot of data in my VM. Parallels tech suggested I create another VM, which I have done, but the problems persist. I am now afraid that I might have to totally reinstall Parallels. Is this the only (best?) solution?

 

Hi Bryan,

As you have mentioned that the Virtual Machine pauses often, please try the following:
- Go to Virtual Machine Configure (http://kb.parallels.com/117287) - Options tab - Applications - Disable 'Pause Windows when no application are open'.
