Uninstalling Parallels 9: KB article 116992. Doesn't work?

    At the suggestion/request of Parallels 9 app I updated to the latest version of Parallels. The install failed. I decided to uninstall and an install the previous version from a backup. I followed the instructions in the kb article below.

    This does not work. There are still some files somewhere that cause the old app to want to "initialize". I did find some in /Library and deleted them. Still no joy.
    Oh, downloading the latest version and installing does not work either.
    I'm running 10.7.5, maybe it's too old of a version but that should have been caught on the version checking.

    I just did this again and attempted to install the latest version of Parallels 9 and it failed again.
