    Hi,
I installed parallels 10 on my mac pro (three internal physical hard drives, first one partitioned into OS X (mac OS extended journaled) & bootcamp (windows NTFS), second for data (mac OS extended journaled), third for Time machine (mac OS extended journaled)). I have been using paragon HFS+ & NTFS and using bootcamp.

I installed parallels to run windows from bootcamp and it seemed OK except in windows I cannot read/write to the second internal physical hard drive which I use for data - there is a drive letter F:\ but when I try to access it I get an error message that it needs to be formatted.

Before I spend any more time trying to fix this, is it actually possible to run windows 7 ultimate in parallels and have read/write access to a second/third/fourth internal hard disk?

    Thanks in advance,

    Bill

    Hi,

Please try to use Share Folders to achieve your goal.
Assuming you are running a Boot Camp Based virtual machine, please open a configuration of the virtual machine -> Options -> Sharing -> Share Folders -> Custom Folders -> click + and choose a partition you would like to operate from Windows -> click Choose -> click OK.
Now you should be able to see it in My Computer within the Windows.

p.s. also you may try to map a partition as a network drive but this workaround is kind of improper one and Im not sure whether it should work.

Hello, my problem is a little bit different from this one. I got a SSD with OS X and BootCamp with only 80 GB, and have an HDD as second internal drive, with 2 partition, one to use on mac and the other formatted as NTFS to use with windows for big files like games, the problem is... when I try to access the NTFS partition shared through parallels on windows VM I got an access Denied message. but I can easily access the partition through windows on bootcamp. I need to instal some programs on windows through VM but I have this access problem.

Thanks and sorry if my question is at the wrong place. I just put here because was the same type of problem.
