    Hi,

I'm running Beta 6 and noticed that SuSE hangs when I log out and shut down the VM. I think I first noticed this problem when I upgraded from Beta 4 to Beta 5. When the VM is shut down, the activity monitor shows a dramatic rise in CPU usage about 2 mins after the VM appears stopped.

    The disk is unmounted.
The last SuSE screen message is:
Skipped services in runlevel 0: SuSEFirewall2_setup nfs

    I have not tried a re-install yet.

That's what happens to me as well. I just shut the VM down and it seems to be ok. I've always assumed that Parallels isn't catching the shutdown signal correctly.

Thanks for the feedback. I had one weird situation where it caused a kernal panic and my system rebooted. The reboot only happened once and I don't recall what I was doing but I let it run for a while hoping that the VM would eventually shut down. I'm wondering now if parallels goes into some kind of tight loop? This would explain the CPU usage going way up. Might also explain the kernal panic after a long time (I read a post a while ago where a guy wrote a loop script that caused the CPU usage to max out which lead to a massive heat ramp and eventual OS failure).

I'm running build 1970 and have this issue as well. I tried to reinstall but no luck.

    Is there any fix?

Not that I've ever seen or found. Anyone?
