I just upgraded my Parallels 9 (latest update) to 10. When I click to start up my Windows 7 VM, I get "A critical error occurred with Parallels Desktop." I've submitted the generated reports a couple of times. Any suggestions to try to get my VM working again? Thanks, Peter
Ok, I got it started in 32-bit mode! It churned quite a while before it started. It's installing the Parallels Tools now. When it's done, I work in Win 7 a while, and then shut down and try to start in 64-bit.
Start Parallels Open the settings window Select the Hardware tab Select Boot Order In the Boot Flags box, enter: vm.app_mode=32 Now try starting your Windows VM (it started up for me, but it took a while) Shut down Windows Go back to the Settings Hardware tab, and clear the text from the Boot Flags box Start Windows again Everything was fine for me after that.
