I am having a boot problem this morning. Currently I have Parrallels Build 9.0.24237 installed with Windows 8.1 on OSX. Windows said it had updates and needed to reboot. After rebooting I am getting a EUFI shell message. What i have tried: - Tried disabling UEFI boot no effect. Saying it cannot boot. - Checked if the harddisk is connected. Any ideas on this problem?
Hi Hansieb, Please follow the steps given to enable/disable EFI boot on Virtual Machine configuration : 1. Start Parallels Desktop but do not start Virtual Machine. 2. In Mac OS X menu bar go to View > Virtual machine's list > right-click on your virtual machine and choose Configure 3. Go to Hardware tab > 'Boot order' and uncheck 'Use EFI Boot' and check 'Use EFI Boot' in 'Hard Disk' 4. Close the configuration window and start Windows Virtual Machine and check how it works!
@manoj Thanks for your reaction. Like i said in my first post already tried checking and unchecking the EFI boot option. This has no effect. System still hangs on EFI shell.
